60th REUNION S J Bautista

Ahoy Pirates

So for those who did not attend the 60th Reunion in San Juan Bautista, you really missed the best time.  Sorry. I sure hope you will be able to make 61 because we are not stopping yet!

San Juan Bautista is a historic mission town...very small, very quiet, interior farmland.  The hotel, Hacienda de Leal, was wonderful.  There was plenty of room for us to gather no matter what time of day.  They have a lovely olive tree grove on their patio and we brought chairs and had  fun getting reaquainted.  The rooms were spacious and had refrigerators, microwaves and lots of room.  The rooms could use a little more soundprofing but can't complain about anything.  The staff was friendly and helpful and enjoyed our company.

We gathered at Jardine's for our first meal.  Unfortunately we did not get to sit together but as always the food was great.  They do have beautiful gardens to wander around but it was dark so another time.  The second night we ate in Hollister at a restaurant called Paine's.  They gave us their banquet room and a fabulous waitress named Mary.

It always seems to go by quickly, just when we get into remembering our good times in San Leandro. Thanks to those who traveled far:  Louis Maher from Virginia, Randy Molitor from Utah, Russ Watson from Oregon, Morgan Edwards from Colorado, and Linda Seale Silveira from Nevada.  The rest of us were from all over California.  Since we had such a good time, I have decided we will continue on.  Until then, be safe, stay healthy and keep on living.  And Thank You John!   Love to all, Carol and of course The Jolly Roger.
